Saging the World Screening: Binational Conference on Border Issues

November 29 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

November 28 to December 2, 2022
San Diego, California and Tijuana, Baja California Norte

After the forced interruption due to the pandemic that prevented its realization in 2020, we are once again organizing this space for dialogue in the transborder region of Tijuana and San Diego, which aims to weave interconnections between the academic, activist, and artist communities that seek to reflect on the social, cultural and environmental problematic aspects of the United States-Mexico border.

The conference seeks to foster binational collaborations between activists, artists, academics, and students with the intention of contributing to resistance against the systems of institutional and cultural domination in the border region.

The conference has been characterized by proposing a conjuncture of themes as an axis of reflection that allows us to address the most relevant concerns that currently summon us. For this reason, in this edition we recommend as the main axis the effects of the pandemic on border life, especially on immigrant people.

Screening of Saging the World will take place on Nov. 29th at 8am.
