May 13 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Meeting Point at the Lagoon Valley trailhead at the end of Butcher Road in Vacaville. Map is from a bicycle site, but does indicate our meeting site.
General Information about the Lagoon Valley Hike:
Ted Swiecki will talk about the history and ecology of the area. We will start at 10 a.m. at the trailhead at the end of Butcher and should be done by noon. There are several unique species in this area that Ted will be showing us.
Parts of the walk will be moderate in difficulty and will include uphill on dirt trails, so good hiking shoes are recommended. There is some poison oak along trails to be aware of and we will have to watch for ticks.
What to Expect and What to Bring:
- Good hiking shoes are recommended.
- Poison oak is along some of the trails and watch for ticks.
- Bring water and snacks if necessary since it will not be provided.
- Parking along Butcher Road can be crowded.
- Please read the CNPS waiver here so you will be prepared to sign it in person at the hike site. It is required to participate in the CNPS hike. Please do not sign the online version, it is for reference only.
