It’s planting time! We are holding an online plant sale in April with order pickup in Greenbrae the following Saturday. Adequate rain means the spring wildflowers are coming along well and we’ll be offering a big selection, as well as a discount for purchasing in quantity.
APRIL SALE
Opens: Wednesday April 5th at 6pm
Closes: Monday April 10th at 6pm
Order pickup at Bon Air: Saturday April 15th, 10:30am to 1:00pm

Of special note this sale: we have a generous stock of Aristolochia californica or Western pipevine—the host plant of the beautiful Pipevine Swallowtail. Cobweb thistle is back in stock for those who have a dry gravelly area where nothing grows—cobweb thistles will love it.
Other unique species include Western wallflower, three colors of hybrid Pacific Iris, California fuchsia, and Lippia nodiflora, a great groundcover for full sun that will be available in flats.
Flowering perennials and shrubs include many different types of salvias and ceanothus, as well as buckwheat and milkweed for the butterflies.
We are very lucky to have established a partnership with Home Ground Habitats, founded by former Chapter President Charlotte Torgovitsky. This is a nonprofit, volunteer-run growing ground in Novato, staffed by an enthusiastic team of plant lovers. Home Ground grows an extensive list of species from seed and/or cuttings, providing us with expertly-grown, beautiful specimens—often of hard-to-find species—to sell to our eager customers. We are delighted to have this wonderful resource for Marin’s native plant gardeners. We encourage you to check out the Home Ground website at www.homegroundhabitats.org, where you will find extensive resources and tips for creating a flourishing habitat garden.
