Default FireWise Vegetation Management

Date: 06/29/02
Time: 09:57 AM

In meeting with the Fire Safe Councils and Urban Forest Councils; there needs to be a Vegetation Management Plan for those who reside in the Wildan Urban Interface. Those urban communities in a high fire hazardous zone need to find the balance between fuel reduction programs (see the National Fire Plan)and canopy cover ;which effects not only Defensible Space(fire safety)considerations, but, water and soil conservation.
