Default Abbott's Lagoon, Pt. Reyes Wildflowers

Yesterday I was at Abbott's Lagoon at Point Reyes. It was a foggy day with mild to moderate wind and the temperature remained in the 50's. The wildflower season is progressing. There was less in bloom than about three weeks ago but later season flowers are now blooming. A highlight of the day included excellent specimens of Beach Pea. Other flowers that were especially good were the Giant Marsh Lupine and Yellow Sand-verbena. The Yellow Bush Lupine bloom is beginning to increase. The was a nice display of Douglas Iris south of the trail on the other side of the fence. I have detailed plant and bird lists at:
