Default Do You Know This Aquatic Plant?

I can generally identify most plants that I come across, but this aquatic plant's ID is eluding me. It isn't Ranunculus aquatilis, nor anything else I've found in my books or online. Surely it can't be all that rare. I found it growing in the drought stricken muddy banks of E. Stillwater creek in Redding. I brought a bit of it home and potted it up for a water feature.

I think I have a tentative identification. Potamogeton gramineus or grassy pondweed. Oddly enough I do not remember seeing this plant in this waterway in the past and this year there is quite a bit of it. Sadly it won't last long as the creek is nearly dry. Once I found the genus I was pretty sure I was on the right track! I'm glad it is a perennial. I look forward to keeping it growing while everything else dries up this summer.
