Monterey Pine Preservation

I would like to know if you believe it to be mandatory to remove any Monterey pines if they have pitch canker, how long they will survive after they get it and will it spread easily if not removed. Thank you for your response.

It is not mandatory to remove Monterey pines with Pitch Canker. Some of them have lived for ten years with the disease and may be regaining their health. For more info see - http://www.1hope.org/ppc.htm -David
