Mather Field Vernal Pool Flower Walks

The flower filled vernal pools at Mather Field will be the feature of these two hour tours by CNPS docents. All tours assemble at the picnic pavilion at Mather Lake at Mather Regional Park. To help CNPS to provide sufficient docents, please call in reservations at least 24 hours in advance to 916-737-WILD. Tours are free but there is a $2 parking fee.

Tours start at 11:00 and 1:00

Directions:

To get to Mather Lake in the Mather Regional Park: Take Highway 50 to Sunrise Boulevard (South). Go about 4 miles on Sunrise. Turn right onto Douglas Road. (Follow signs toward Mather Golf Course). Go about 1 mile and take your first left onto Eagles Nest Road. Take first left into parking lot of Mather Lake Rotary Park. (If you get to the Golf Course, you've gone too far.) Meet in front of the blue-roofed picnic pavilion before your tour leaves.
