Native plants for a school garden

I want to plant an area of native plants at my local school - Olivet elementary, located just west of Santa Rosa in the Santa Rosa plain. This area used to be oak savanna I believe. I`d like to plant some fairly low-growing shrubs 3-5ftand perennials, some of which are good butterfly and hummingbird nectar plants. I have a plot of about 15x5ft. Any advice will be gratefully received! Thanks.</p>
