AIDS Living Memorial Grove - San Luis Obispo

The San Luis Obispo County AIDS Memorial Grove is a living AIDS memorial. The Grove provides a means for the community to recognize the enormity of the AIDS crisis and creates a place of healing, hope and renewal. The Grove provides a unique opportunity of public outreach and education by providing a public landscape where anyone touched by AIDS can grieve and experience the feeling of renewal and hope inherent in nature. In addition, the Grove, using strictly California native plant species, provides an area for environmental awareness tours and community AIDS awareness programs as well as school group tours.
