Cal Flora has information on H. lasiocarpus, but no picture. It is classified by CNPS as List 2, meaning that it is rare, threated or endangered in California but more common elsewhere.

My reference here is Nursery Sources for CA Native Plants 1995 published by the CA Dept of Conservation. Since it is 5 years old there is no guarantee of finding the plants at these nurseries, but the book says these nurseries grow it:Cornflower Farms P. O. Box 896, Elk Grove, CA 95759 phone 916-689-1015;Greenlee Nursery, 301 E. Franklin Ave., Pomona CA 91766 phone 909-629-9045The Theodore Payne Foundation, 10459 Tuxford St,Sun Valley, CA 91352 phone 818-768-1802Western Hills Nursery, 16250 Coleman Valley Rd.,Occidental, CA 95465 phone 707-874-3731.Good luck.</p>
