Thumbs up Restoration Ecologist at San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy

The Restoration Ecologist at San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy develops and oversees habitat restoration and invasive plant control projects in the Carlsbad Hydrologic Unit in coastal, northern San Diego County with an emphasis on restoration efforts that support enhancement of sensitive habitats. Responsibilities include grant writing, budgets management, subcontracting, permitting, construction oversight, reporting, and biological monitoring. S/he reports to the Resource Management Director and is an ambassador for the Conservancy on habitat restoration efforts. This is a regular position that requires 40 hours of work per week during the permitted work season, which is September through March, and approximately 25 hours of work per week from April through August. Funding is secured for the position through March 2015, and the Restoration Ecologist will be expected to spearhead funding acquisition efforts for the future of his/her program. The starting salary for the Restoration Ecologist ranges from $22 - $25 per hour, based on experience. Please see the full description attached and at: http://sanelijo.org/staff
