Default Lakes Basin/Yuba Pass

I just returned from a six-day trip in the Northern Sierra Nevada in the Lakes Basin and Yuba Pass. Wildflowers were past peak in lower areas but were peaking with good displays at Yuba Pass and about one half mile up the Pacific Crest Trail on the trailhead to the Sierra Buttes. I also saw good wildflowers south of Gray Eagle Lodge on the trail to Long Lake. Butterflies and birds are both plentiful. To see species lists and photos go to:
