Sandy S is on a distinguished road
Default Knowland Park, Oakland

Yesterday I went Knowland Park in Oakland, CA to see the Lupines (Lupinus microcarpus var. microcarpus) near the end of Snowdown Road. There are still many in bloom but the grasses continue to grow and the lupine are starting to dry out. We also walked about three miles taking “paths” (they are really more like fire roads) in several directions. There are flowers in bloom, but no other displays. There was also a fair amount of butterfly and bird activity.

I have a few photos and plant, bird and butterfly lists at: http://naturalhistorywanderings.com/...d-butterflies/
