Entry-Level Biologist

PMC specializes in providing municipal consulting services including, but not limited to, agency staffing, conservation planning and biological services, environmental, public finance, housing and community development, urban planning, sustainability and climate change, and creative services.

PMC is currently seeking entry-level Biologists for our Rancho Cordova, California, office. Duties will include, but not be limited to, biological resource surveys, data collection and analysis, as well as report and permit preparation for a variety of clients throughout California. Full time and part time positions are available. Pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Required Skills Organize equipment and make logistical arrangements for field studies.Assist project managers in data management, analysis, and report preparation. Take initiative to resolve problems, as well as create streamlined processes and procedures for biological resource projects.

Required Experience Minimum of B.A. or B.S. in Botany, Wildlife, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related life sciences field. 1-2 seasons of fieldwork experience is preferred (college experience included), but not required. Knowledge of California plant life, including rare plants. Flexibility and willingness to learn company procedures; willingness to try new and improved field techniques and procedures; the ability to make independent decisions as appropriate; and the ability to make adjustments as a member of a team, in an effort to complete tasks in the most efficient and accurate manner.
