I went to the Skyline Serpentine Prairie in Redwood Regional Park. Not
only were the Yellow Mariposas (Calochortus luteus) in bloom but also the rare Presidio Clarkia (Clarkia franciscana), which seemed much more plentiful than when I saw it last year. There were also many California Poppies still in bloom. I found more species in bloom than a visit last year at this time.
