This used to be a very lively and thought provoking forum. Now it is nearly dead - which mystifies me, since natives have never been hotter and the issues surrounding their use never more critical. This is the leading edge of horticulture, involving lots of new ideas about utilizing ecology rather than ornamental practices to achieve successful landscapes. I would encourage people to take advantage of the collective expertise of this community so that they can get off on the right foot. There are a lot of people willing to help, just ask the questions. Lets fire this thing up!

In looking through the past posts it looks like it was an informative and lively forum. I've read through quite a few of the old posts, and I don't think there is (was) another forum like it - that's to say entirely dedicated to California Natives.
It sure seems that somebody somewhere might have a question or maybe we can get it rolling by introducing ourselves and maybe a sentence or two about why we are interested/passionate or in my case slightly obsessed with Cal natives. |

I agree - looks like the action has moved to the list serves. I just subscribed to my local chapter's listserv today. Thanks.
