Default Growing native, edible fiddleneck ferns

Hello all,

I'm installing a vegetable garden for someone in Portola Valley, CA, and they asked me to plant fiddleneck ferns, which they used to eat in their youth on the east coast. I'm wondering if there's a native California variety of edible fiddleneck ferns -- can anyone help direct me? Thanks
