SugarPine is on a distinguished road
Default Blister Rust Resistant Sugar Pines

The Sugar Pine Foundation is currently trying to identify restoration projects around California where white pine blister rust resistant seedlings could be appropriate. We have been working in Tahoe for the last four years and have about 25,000 seedlings that will be grown at Cal Forest Nursery this year. The Forest Service needs all of our Tahoe seed, and in exchange they will give us resistant seed for pretty much anywhere else in California that has sugar pines. If you know of a restoration project that includes reforestation please let us know. We can work out details later but we need to choose some areas very quickly to get the seed pulled from the bank and get it into stratification. Thanks everyone.
