Grasses in Oakland

I was curious if anyone knew the type of grasses that grew in the flat lands of Oakland?

There were many different grasses that were probably found in the flatlands of Oakland before urbanization. Most likely, the grasses typically found in coastal prairie. If you are closer to the Bay, then perhaps some grasses found in coastal salt marsh.
Some of the common species probably were Deschampsia cespitosa and Nassella lepida. You'd also find many sedges, including Carex obnupta and Carex tumulicola.

here's some good guesses: danthonia californica, melica californica, nasella pulchra, nasella lepida, deschampsia cesp. ssp. holciformis, agrostis pallens, carex praegracilis, carex tumulicola, hordeum brachyantherum, agrostis exararta, bromus carinatus, calamagrostis nutkaensis, plus quite a few more.

many of the grasses which have been documented in oakland are now extirpated.
