Default Where to obtain native California lupin seed?

Thought this would be simple. Wanted to on-line purchase some California golden poppy and California native lupin (not a stream-side variety, but one that handles limited moisture) seed, in bulk, a pound or so, to sow in the Sierra foothills. But have run aground on the lupin seed. Can't seem to find any except 'Arroyo,' which I understand needs more water than would be available. Any suggestions? Or am I off on the wrong track entirely?

In any case, thanks for listening,
Tom

Ps--If anyone is kind enough to respond, I would really appreciate it if you could also answer me directly: tmandres@aol.com

Default Lupine seed source

Hi

Saw your post about needing lupine seeds. I have thousands of seeds I collected from the mountain behind my house in San Diego. I can't really say what kind it is although it probably is Arroyo Lupine. I wouldn't say that variety needs more water than other lupines since it grows abundantly here in disturbed soil with almost no rainfall annually. You're welcome to some seeds if you want.

Here's a link to an outfit that has many different lupine seeds:

I've purchased a lot of seed from them, so I know they are reliable.

Good Luck!

Have you tried Larner Seeds. They list several varieties of lupine seed on their web site:
