Default Mysterious beautiful flower. ID help please

Hello all.

I encountered this flower while hiking near lake oroville in butte county California. It was in dense poison oak in the partial shade provided by some oak trees. Some of the flowers were reaching as high as 5ft

I have spent quite a bit of time hiking in this area but I have never seen this flower nor have I been able to find any pictures online. I think the way the flower's stem acts like a tendril is bizarre and absolutely beautiful. I have never seen a plant do this.

Any information on the plant would be appreciated

Here are some pictures of the blooms and leaves
