Default More Skyline Serpentine Prairie Poppies

Today I went back to Skyline Serpentine Prairie which is in Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA It is a restoration and protected area. There were many more Poppies than when I was there three weeks ago. There are some good displays including one between the parking lot and road.

After poppies the next most abundant plants were Goldfields, Blue-eyed Grass, Red Maids and Cream Cups. Also in bloom were California Buttercups, Yellow Lomatium, Longhorn Plectritis, Blue Dicks, Miner's Lettuce, and California Lotus. Around the park building and just past it in the opposite direction of the prairie were Hummingbird Sage, Ceanothus sp, Salvia sp., Purple Sanicle, and Manroot.

It was mid-day and bright and sunny. Not ideal flower photography weather. I tried to do some backlit shots and close-ups with a diffuser.
