Default What is native to San Pablo Bay/ Point Pinole area?

I am currently researching native plants in the San Pablo Bay and Point Pinole areas. I will be using the information in my 4th grade classroom as we are restoring the native vegetation to the perimeter of the school. Our location is approximately 75 yards from the shore of SP Bay, separated by railroad tracks and the playground fence. Garrity Creek also runs the west side of the school grounds, and feeds into the bay.

Any suggestions for plants native to this area and easy to moderate to care for? Also, we have an incredible view of the bay, so I am looking for a not-so-tall shrubbery to plant along this area.

Many, many thanks for any help you might have to offer!!
