Default Abbott's Lagoon at Pt. Reyes

Yesterday (May 15), I was at Abbott’s Lagoon at Point Reyes and over fifty species of wildflowers were in bloom. California Poppies (yellow coastal form), Yellow Bush Lupine, Cow Parsnip, Big Marsh Buttercup, Beach Suncups, Yellow Sand Verbena, and Sea Thrift were especially abundant. Many flowers are still in good shape and more will be blooming over the next few weeks. I have more complete plant lists, photos and details at my blog: Natural History Wanderings
