Default Action Alert: College Threatens Native Wildlife

From: sandres@pacbell.net
Date: 02/22/02
Time: 07:02 PM

Occidental College, a private college in the Eagle Rock area of the City of Los Angeles, has applied to the City Planning Dept. for a Conditional Use Permit to bulldoze part of Mt. Figi, one of the last pieces of undeveloped land in our neighborhood, in order to build a softball field, a hammerthrow, and a parking lot. If you remember singing "They Paved Paradise, Put Up a Parking Lot" in the sixties, or even if you're too young to remember that, please go to this website: www.stopoxy.org and sign our petition to prevent this mindless assault on nature. Thanks! -- Susan
