This species, as I understood from a June conversation with Diana Hickson, CDFG, was supposed to be brought before the CDFG Commission for elevation to candidate status. Anyone know the outcome? The CDFG website is useless, as far as I can tell. Thanks Kathy Rindlaub

Kathy, The Fish and Game Commission made C.p.var. fernandina a candidate for listing as endangered at the June 15th meeting. The Department now has one year to review the status of the species and make a recommendation to the Commission to list or not list the species. The public can provide information to the Department during this period.

DFG is working to make the web site better.

Diana

Dear Kathy,

I am a student at California State University, Fullerton and I am interested in performing independant research on Chorizanthe parryi fernandina. Can you recommend any good resources for obtaining information about this organism. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Jason Newmark
