Deer Grass and Yarrow?
I'm planting deer grass in my front yard on the parking strip, but it seems it needs 150-800 cm of rain per year, but I am planting a yarrow lawn next to it which looks to be 48-102 cm of rain (info from Las Pilitas website). Will these two work together? I always thought Deer Grass was more of a dry area plant. Its going to be a few deer grass plants surrounded by Yarrow and Coastal Poppies.

Sounds great. The grass should be fine with less water in well drained soil after becoming established.

It worked it pretty well. This was from March:

The poppies took over for a while but it was very nice in the spring. Right now we are in the long dry spell waiting for rain and the wildflowers to return. I think I am going to put more yarrow in so it will stay green over the summer and fall. I water the deer grass and white sage every month or so since they are only a year old.

Wow your front planter looks pretty nice even with the dryness.
