JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Land Steward

The Land Trust of Santa Cruz County is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our team as Land Steward. This is a unique opportunity to use your land stewardship experience to make a difference and leave a legacy of land protection for the California Central Coast. The Land Trust of Santa Cruz County, in cooperation with public and private partners, protects and manages lands of significant natural resource, agricultural, cultural and open space value. The Land Trust is a well-funded and growing non-profit conservation organization.

Primary Responsibility: To implement the Land Trust’s overall land stewardship goals by assisting the Stewardship Manager with resource management on about 12 properties covering over 2500 acres. The applicant must have five or more years of experience in land stewardship, strong project management skills, and enthusiasm for working with a variety of people.

Compensation: $21.60 - $24.03 ($45,000 - $50,000/year) depending on experience. Our benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, retirement contributions of up to four percent of salary, generous leave, professional development, and a flexible work schedule.
