We are interested in planting as many seeds for the above trees as possible. We want to re-plant a large area near Lake Isabella in the Southern Sierra Nevada, el. 2800 ft. Can someone recommend a distributor or nursery where we can purchase the above?

Colin - I can not think of a place to commercially buy those seeds off the top of my head, I will see what I can do. Self collection is probably the best method. Please refrain from using the term 'Digger' pine. Digger was a derogatory term used to describe the Indain people of many areas of California. The Digger was burned in effigy many years ago. Please use, Bull Pine, Foothill Pine or Foothill grey Pine. Now is a good time to collect Bull Pine cones and harvest the seed. A good cone will yield 50 - 100 seeds. I will see what I can do for germination infomration if you need it. Ben
