Hi--if possible I would love to fill my indoor planter with a native plant--although I don't want to attract birds inside my home--the planter I have is a huge conversation piece & it would be great way for me to educate my guests about the value of native plants. The planter is rectangular: 8 ft. x 4 ft. x 1 foot deep. What could I plant that has a shallow root system & could grow well in window light. I have lots of window & skylights surrounding the planter. I need a plant that won't grow much higher than 8 ft. or I could top it periodically. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Are there any native sages or even grasses that would grow indoors? thanks for your help. laura</p>
