We have several Brazilian Peppers in our neighborhood. They get "laced" every 4-6 months. Seems a waste of money to me. Can't the peppers be cut back and shaped to a height that will not force us to keep lacing them? Also, lacing doesn't look attractive and we have groups of peppers that are crowding one another.

Being a California native plant discussion forum, I think many of us would encourage you to simply remove the non-native, messy, ever suckering, plant killing Brazilian peppers. They are the bane of our existance in Southern California and we would much rather see oaks, sycamores, redwoods, etc. used instead. Good luck with your trees.
