Has anyone had success in the propagation ofAtriplex spinifera from seed? Any insights wouldbe welcome. Thanks.</p>

Terry -Try to locate Collecting, Processing, and germinating Seeds of wildland plants by James and Cheryl Young, Timber Press 1986.

Outside of that try using atriplex as a search word with different search engines on the web and see what you come up with. Good Luck. Ben</p>

Yes. We harvested native seed, and then planted the atriplex using five different methods of seedbed preparation. By far the most successful method was to till the soil, then compact the soil firmly similar to preparing a lawn bed. Then, simply broadcast the seed on the surface. Water weekly until the soil has been lightly wetted, but not flooded, until well established. Methods of drilling or broacasting seed in uncompacted tilled soils were unsuccessful.</p>
