A wonderful Earth Day hike, full of flowers, including a deep blue-purple larkspur (?). I would be grateful for a plant ID...it was a very low-growing 6-petaled, star shaped flower which was a deep pink with white on the very edges of the petals. It grew in the middle of the trail, near the irrodium, and seemed to come up from a grasslike clump. There was only a single flower on a single stem, rising from the grass cluster. They were very low to the ground, merely an inch or so...and ideas? The walk, which we heard about through Bay Area Ridge Trails, was a spectacular one. There is an abundance of flowers, and more blue-eyed grass than I have seen in a while. Enjoy!
