Hello All,

While walking through my local library yesterday, I unearthed the following treasure:

'Growing California Native Plants', by Marjorie G.Schmidt. What a read!!

Some of you may know it, but for me it was a raretreat to find a book that explained the subject fromA-Z.

If you're still above the soil! Marjorie, the bookis a classic. Blessings upon thee!

Alain,Yes, Marjorie's book is good. It is rare to find rather comprehensive books on the subject. As a rule, even those of us with rather complete libraries on landscaping/gardening/etc with native plants find ourselves gleening bits and pieces from many books and journals rather than single sources.I would recommend you click over to the welcome page and find the CNPS Bookstore. You will see it sold there along with a few other titles of interest. The complete catalog is even more extensive.Perhaps others will mention a few of there favorite books/articles/or journals. One of my favorites are the proceedings from the Rancho Santa Ana Botanicl Garden's symposium series 'Out of the Wild and into the Garden' Good luck!Dan</p>
