...drove Amboy Rd from 29 Palms up to the crater today, and it is another "hot spot" for desert wildflowers. A variety of stuff can be found from Wonder Valley up through Sheephole Mts. and beyond, with the "meat" of it being the lupine (including a few white Arizona lupines) along Amboy Rd, and the Desert Sunflowers and Desert Sand Verbena at the crater (there are some blooming Desert Five-spots there as well)...
If you get out and walk now and then, you are bound to find a few odds and ends you otherwise would miss...
