no comments on my GIANT tubers? rare native? help!

I'm surprised! no one is even curious? or has any idea what it might be? Maybe it's something rare and cool! Any help? places I might look? anything? Wife says they are alien pods..LOL</p>

We have several plants here who make large tubers for water storage. One of the ones I have in my Bosque is I think a wild cucurbit or climatis. They don't send up top growth every year but both plants do when the weather is right. I get both tiny spiny gourdy cucumbers and climatis type seed pods growing in the mesquite trees in those years.Kacie in Tucson</p>
