I have a few native Dudleya's that I would like to start growing from seed, instead of division. Every year I toss the dried stalk and always wonder how to collect the seed. Do they require pollination? How do you find the seed, and how can you tell if the seed is viable?

Cactus, I'm not sure if this is timely enough, you've probably found out yourself. The seeds to these plants, at least the ones I dealt with, are very fine and tiny but produced in abundance. They shake out of a capsule like 'fruit' very easily, where each flower was. They propagate fairly easy, but the seedlings are incredibly small and can dry out quickly. It seems that the ones that get shade are the ones that will survive. They take a while to get to size, too, but well worth it.
