Featured poet: Paul Willis, Poet Laureate of Santa Barbara. Paul is a former mountain guide, current English professor, and always-engaging poetry reader—he manages to be both touching and funny at the same time. Many of his poems are inspired by his frequent rambles in his local San Rafael Mountains/Los Padres National Forest.
An open reading will follow, and CNPS members are invited to bring their favorite original nature poems to share. Or—just listen and enjoy connecting with California's wild landscape via the vivid word-pictures painted by fellow CNPS members—an endlessly creative group.
This event is supported in part by Poets & Writers, Inc. through a grant it has received from The James Irvine Foundation.
