CNPS 2009 Conservation Conference: Strategies and SolutionsConference Theme
The conference will focus on: 1) finding and promoting solutions to the environmental challenges confronting California’s flora 2) integrating the best science with the most effective public policies to meet these challenges 3) pressing forward more and better regional and statewide landscape-level conservation initiatives. By addressing such topics as climate change, rare plant biology, restoration, mitigation strategies, vegetation ecology, environmental policy, invasive species, conservation genetics, regional planning, urbanization, and more, this conference will integrate and synthesize conservation science with policy and catalyze California’s plant conservation in the 21st century.
