Document ArchivePolicy on Feral PigsAdopted March 1989 (PDF Version) Feral pig (Sus scrofa) populations are rapidly increasing their range in California. Agricultural crops and native plant and wildlife habitats are severely damaged by the activities of these pig populations. Because of this threat to California's resources CNPS urges public agencies to establish policies and programs to halt the spread of feral pigs and to minimize the damage they cause.
