Last Call - Chapter Posters at the CNPS 2018 Conservation Conference
Chapter posters are a critical component of the Conservation Conference, as they highlight all of the amazing work our organization does throughout California. Be a steward of your local chapter’s projects and initiatives by creating a poster! If you’d like to participate, please send us your poster title, chapter/author(s), and a short paragraph summary of the poster ASAP (deadline was 10/31 but we can squeeze late submissions into the conference program for another week or so). Details are available at, or click here.

Chapter Sales at the Conference - Inventory Forms Due December 15
Chapters have the option to provide chapter-published books and chapter merchandise for sale in the CNPS Store during the upcoming Conservation Conference. Items will be taken on consignment and sold by CNPS staff. Chapters interested must provide an inventory form to CNPS by December 15, 2017. Click here for more information and the inventory form.

Call for Volunteers - CNPS 2018 Conservation Conference

Upcoming CNPS Statewide Workshops
The 2018 schedule is being developed now and will be available soon! Full details and registration information will be posted as it becomes available at If your chapter would like to help spread the word, contact Becky Reilly, , for flyers, ads, or write-ups to include in your newsletters and more - any assistance is much appreciated.

This month's FAQ!
Q: How do I get a certificate of insurance for my chapter event?
A: First, check out the Event Insurance Guidelines to familiarize yourself with the process. For MOST events (check those guidelines first!), if you have been asked to provide proof of insurance and your event will have less than 500 attendees, you will need to complete the Additional Insured/Certificate of Insurance Request Form and return it to Becky with a copy of your agreement, contract, or permit with the facility/agency. We will need both the completed form and a copy of your agreement before we can proceed. Please send these to Becky, , AT LEAST 6 weeks before your event.

Next CNPS Quarterly Meeting

December 1-3, 2017
Sacramento, CA
Hosted by the CNPS Sacramento Valley Chapter

Why should I attend the Quarterly Meeting?
1. You will connect with, and learn from, other CNPS members and staff from around the state
2. You get to contribute to important decisions that impact our organization during the chapter council session, and learn about the projects that CNPS staff are working on
3. Through social events and field trips, you will meet like-minded people and get to know a new area of the state - it's fun!

Hope to see you there!
