Insurance and Seller's Permits for Fall Events
Don't forget to request insurance and any seller's permits you will be needing in advance of your fall events! Refer to the admin page of for details and forms, or check out the Event Insurance Information PDF and Seller's Permit Information PDF. Seller's permits have a quick turnaround (though it is best to submit your request a couple weeks in advance), and insurance can take up to 8 weeks for processing. Contact Becky Reilly, , with any questions or to submit a request.
TIP: Are you expecting over 500 attendees at your chapter-sponsored event? No matter the event type or facility, you will need to obtain special event insurance. Contact Becky for details.

Publicize your Fall Events through the Horticulture Events Calendar
Don’t forget to add your upcoming events to the Horticulture Events Calendar! Fall plant sales, symposia, field trips, or even a call for volunteers - the events calendar is a great tool to help publicize your chapter events. Posting to the calendar is easy, just follow the “Instructions for adding an event to the calendar” PDF available on the admin page of under the “Horticulture Events Calendar” section.  If you need assistance, e-mail .

Educational Grant Proposals Due by September 30

Next Chapter Council Weekend:

September 11-13, 2015
Fort Bragg, CA
Hosted by the Dorothy King Young Chapter

Why should I attend Chapter Council?
1. You will connect with, and learn from, other CNPS members from around the state
2. You get to contribute to important decisions that impact our organization
3. Through social events and field trips, you will meet like-minded people and get to know a new area of the state - it's fun!

Hope to see you there!
