We will be sending out this brief Chapter Resources e-mail once a month to provide you with information that helps support the inner workings of your chapter.

CNPS Name Tags
We are ordering CNPS name tags and want chapters to get in on the order! Get them for your board members or dedicated chapter volunteers as a thank you for their service. The name tags are$7.00 each, plus shipping. Click here for the order form. Please submit your Chapter's order by 10/31/14 to Deidre Kennelly at . We will send an invoice to your chapter treasurer once we receive the order form.

Gardening with Natives and Membership Brochures
We have a new batch of Gardening with Natives Brochures (both English and Spanish) ready for distribution. Place your order by e-mailing Caroline Garland at with quantity and shipping address. Membership brochures are available as well!

Next Information Sharing Call: Thurs., Nov. 6, 12:00-1:00 pm
The next information sharing call will be held Thursday, 11/06/14 from 12pm-1pm. Call in by dialing 888-915-9544 (no pin needed). The call topic will be Publicizing Chapter Events. These calls are held to connect chapters together by discussing topics and sharing ideas related to running a chapter. See minutes from the last call here. For more information contact Deidre at .

Chapter Event Insurance: New Insurance Information PDF Now Available
A new Insurance Information document is now available on the Admin page of the CNPS website. Please review this PDF when you begin planning a chapter event to help determine and meet the insurance requirements. For more information, or to request insurance, please contact Becky Reilly at .

CNPS Speakers Bureau
The Speakers Bureau Handbook, spearheaded by Arvind Kumar a few years back, has been updated and is now ready for Chapters to use! It can be found on the Admin page of cnps.org. Contact Deidre at for changes, or if you know of someone to add to the list.

Horticulture Calendar
Just a reminder that we advertise the CNPS Horticulture Calendar through many outlets, so be sure to add your upcoming events to get that exposure! Instructions on how to add can be found on the Admin page of cnps.org. For help with the calendar e-mail .

#GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday (www.givingtuesday.org), on Dec 2, 2014, is a global day dedicated to individuals giving back to organizations that matter to them. One of the fun social media aspects of #GivingTuesday is the "unselfish selfie" photo, or "unselfie". Simply take a picture of yourself holding a sign with a short phrase on why you support CNPS, add the hashtags #unselfie and #givingtuesday. Upload it to your personal Facebook/Twitter feed and/or send it to Stacey at to add it to the CNPS Facebook page.
